Allan Showalter, MD, Director
Allan Showalter began EnrichMap as part of his long term interest in treatment adherence and is primarily responsible for clinical applications of the Emap Profile. Allan also writes for and manages the AlignMap Web Site and Blog where he has published information about compliance for the past two years. Previously, Dr. Showalter directed The Touchstone Group, a practice focused on the inpatient treatment of psychiatric disorders and developing and administering programs at several hospitals in the Chicago area. He has also served as Medical Director of two psychiatric hospitals and a large non-profit mental health group, a surveyor for the Joint Commission, and a consultant in program development and utilization review.
Rich Spitzer, Managing Director
Rich Spitzer is responsible for the primary research and operations of EnrichMap. Rich is also president and publisher of TrendPointers, a business and economic research firm, and was previously Executive Vice President NFO Worldwide, a global marketing research firm, and has held senior research positions with Sears, Quaker Oats and KRC Consulting.
Russell Hall, III MD
Dr. Hall is J. Lamar Callaway Professor and Chief of Dermatology at Duke University Medical Center and is also on the staff of the Durham VA Hospital. Dr. Hall has extensive experience in immunologically mediated skin diseases, including both therapy and investigation into the pathogenesis of these diseases. Dr. Hall is author of over 110 scientific articles, reviews and book chapters focused on the clinical and investigative aspects of immune mediated skin diseases.
Dr. Hall received his BA from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received clinical training in internal medicine and dermatology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Dermatology Branch of the National Cancer Institute before joining Duke University.
Seth Powsner, MD
Dr. Powsner is Professor of Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine at Yale University and Medical Director of the Crisis Intervention Unit within the Emergency Department at Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH). Dr. Powsner has been part of YNHH’s Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service since he joined Yale’s faculty in 1986. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine.
His work, especially providing consultation to Medical and Surgical services and his duties in the Emergency Department, often focuses on treatment compliance, its failures, and the medical and psychiatric crises that result.
Dr. Powsner received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from MIT and is M.D. from Yale University. His clinical training was at Michael Reese Hospital. Prior to joining faculty at Yale, he was in private practice and consulted for the Cardiology Section at the University of Chicago. He is author of a number of articles and book chapters on topics ranging from computers in medicine to psychiatric education.
